Selecting the correct burner for your grill.

Measurement of the burner and the tubes under the burner, will guide you to the proper replacement for your grill.

Part numbers change and the numbers we show may be different from the original numbers in your manual.  Numbers may vary also as we stock only the premium (stainless steel) burner versions which may not have been originally specified in your grill.  All of the Fiesta parts we sell are genuine Fiesta original equipment parts.

Measuring the burner.

bhead1.jpg (7259 bytes) Measurement is end to end.  Both of the burners below have the same size burner head however the tube reach is different.

Measuring the burner tubes.

Variations in the design or outward appearance of the grill will often necessitate minor variations in the burner design.  One thing that changes is length of the burner tubes which direct the gas from the control valves to the burner.  When we measure the tubes the distance down from the burner we refer to as the "drop".  The distance out to the control valves we call the "reach".

Notice that the measurements are taken from the center lines of the tube.

To the right is the SM183-12 burner and the tubes have a 3" drop and a 8-1/4" reach.

To the left is the SM167A-12 burner and the tubes have a 3" drop and a 7" reach.

That's all there is to it.  The above measurements do make a difference in whether or not the replacement burner will work for your grill.  Please take the extra time to do these easy measurements.
