Measure the Cooking Grid
If you are uncertain of your Series, measure the main grilling surface and the distance between the control valve centers. There are 5 basic sizes of Char-Broil grills that were manufactured with the masterflame cooking system Each model series has a specific cooking grid size. The width measurement is the total width and includes both sections on split grids.
Measure the Distance Between the Control Knobs (center to center)
The easiest way to get a correct measurement is to pull off the control knobs and measure the center to center distance between the stems which stick out of the control panel. The valve spacing changed in 1999 to 2-3/8".
